SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Scality, a pioneer of software-defined, multi-cloud data storage, today announced that it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. as a leader in the 2017 Magic Quadrant for Distributed File Systems and Object Storage ^[1]. Scality was one of 15 companies evaluated for the report. Each vendor was analyzed across a comprehensive set of capabilities including the ability to execute and completeness of vision. Scality is the only independent vendor to be named in the Leaders quadrant.

Gartner notes, "Vendors in the Leaders quadrant have the highest scores for their ability to execute and completeness of vision. A vendor in the Leaders quadrant has the market share, credibility, and marketing and sales capabilities needed to drive the acceptance of new technologies. Market Leaders will typically be able to execute strongly across multiple geographies with products that cover both distributed file systems and object storage offerings.
