Scenarex launches Bookchain®, a blockchain publishing platform at the Digital Book World

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Canadian-based Scenarex, a company developing publishing solutions with blockchain is launching the Beta version of its first solution, Bookchain®, this week. This release coincides with their presence as a sponsor of the Digital Book World event in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Bookchain® solution

Based on the Ethereum network, Bookchain® is an online ebook distribution platform that enables authors, publishers and content creators to publish and sell books on the blockchain.

Using smart contracts, the Bookchain® platform enables users to upload their ebooks and set the configuration of the security, traceability, rights attribution and distribution settings, introducing the optional feature of reselling.

Digital Book World 2018

As a sponsor of the Digital Book World 2018, Scenarex's team is spending the week in Nashville to promote the Bookchain® solution and talk about the uses of blockchain technology in the publishing industry.

As part of the pre-conference's program, Chief Commercial Officer Christine Joly and Chief Technology Officer Steve Breault gave a 2-hour workshop titled "Blockchain technology: How it applies to the publishing industry" on Monday, October 1^st, tackling the basics of the technology, giving a live demo and answering questions.

As part of the Digital Book World Awards, the gala rewarding notable individuals and organizations within the industry, and as the newcomers of the category, Scenarex will also have the chance to present the Award for "Best use of Blockchain in publishing technology" on October 2^nd.
