Ahead of the film's theatrical debut on July 18, Scentbird collaborated with Sony Pictures and Regal for a special I Know What You Did Last Summer "Scent-Along" screening experience on July 15, with the curated discovery set's scents being integrated into key moments of the film.
From blood orange to eerie woods, the Scent-Along offered a highly unique and immersive sensory experience for consumers who are long-time subscribers in the NYC area, with a curated experience delivering suspense you can smell. The Scent-Along is Scentbird's first luxury scented screening and immersive cinema experience and demonstrates the brand's different approach to culturally-driven collaborations and activations, with a screening event that could only be done when Scentbird and Sony Pictures' I Know What You Did Last Summer came together.
To build anticipation leading into the movie's theatrical release, the brand is also implementing a social-first strategy spanning Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
