SC&H Group Names David Palmer Principal in Risk Management Practice

SPARKS, Md., Jan. 30, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- CPA and management consulting firm SC&H Group, LLC, announced today that David Palmer has joined the firm as a Principal in their Risk Management practice. David brings more than 29 years of experience in all aspects of corporate finance and accounting including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, risk management, SEC reporting, financial analysis, capital and operational budgeting, strategic planning, acquisitions, and system implementations.

In his role with SC&H, Palmer will work with clients to assess risk, implement Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework as well as support their internal audit function.

Prior to joining SC&H, Palmer served as VP of Risk Management and Chief Audit Executive for a S&P 500 pharmaceutical company, where he implemented their ERM program, managed insurance programs, streamlined their SOX processes and performed financial due diligence for acquisitions.

David is a cum laude graduate from the University of Maryland with a degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Maryland, and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and Financial Executives International (FEI). David served on the Board of Directors at Belk National Bank and the FEI, Carolina Chapter. David was a former President and Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Junior Association of Commerce.
