Schell Brothers Announces Delaware "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Build Will Air as Two-Hour Special on Friday, November 18th at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- At the end of August, Dale, Ken, and Brooks Dunning were greeted by an outpouring of support from the community who gathered to shout "Move that Bus" as the Jusst Sooup Ranch was revealed to the Lewes, Delaware family.  Thousands of volunteers and sponsors had worked side by side with the builder team from Schell Brothers to create one of the largest "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" projects ever.  The show will air as a two-hour Thanksgiving special this Friday, November 18th from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. on ABC.  The local ABC affiliate, WMDT-47, will present an hour-long "behind the scenes" special about the making of the show at 7:00 p.m. the same evening.

In addition to the heartwarming moments the show always delivers, this one promises some extra excitement due to the fact that the builder and volunteers weathered three natural disasters the week of the build, including an earthquake, a hurricane, and tornadoes.  The outpouring of community support was undeterred by difficult weather conditions and tough economic times, with involvement from over 350 sponsors and thousands of volunteers.  Generous donations from donors throughout the community enabled Schell Brothers to establish an endowment fund to help the family manage the cost of maintaining the home many years into the future.  The Dunning family is grateful to the community and excited to continue the mission of feeding the hungry through their soup kitchen ministry.  Ken Dunning summed it up very simply by saying: "Extreme Makeover really blessed us and we want to continue blessing others."
