Scion of Naperville celebrates 10-year Scion anniversary

NAPERVILLE, Ill., Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the Scion brand launch. An eye-catching paint job and glowing logo badges are not the only features that are exclusive to the Scion 10-series. For instance, the Scion 10-series tC that is currently available at Scion of Naperville, features 18-inch dark finish allow wheels with a split five-fork design. Also all of the 10-series vehicles have an electroluminescent dashboard that glows with the distinctive 10-series logo every time the doors are opened. In particular, the 10-series tC features a 2.5-liter, inline four-cylinder engine that is capable of 179-horsepower and is available with a six-speed manual transmission that features the newly developed dynamic rev management system. Environmental Protection Agency fuel-economy estimates for the 2.5-liter engine and the manual transmission stand at 23 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.

There will be only 10,000 10-series Scion vehicles built with 2,500 of the high-performing FR-S and the remainder being spread across the other four models. As a part of the special features of each 10-series Scion, a number plate will be installed in the dash by the factory so every owner will know what number in the production line there car was.
