Scribd Launches New Travel E-Books Category With Lonely Planet Partnership

SAN FRANCISCO, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Scribd, an e-book subscription service featuring 300,000+ e-books ranging from contemporary bestsellers to beloved classics, today launched its new travel category by announcing an unprecedented partnership with Lonely Planet, the world's leading travel media company. The deal makes hundreds of Lonely Planet's award-winning travel guidebooks available as part of Scribd's low monthly subscription cost. Along with this partnership, Scribd announced a new feature, the ability to bookmark pages within a book, allowing travelers easy access to bookmarked content during their travels. Travelers can sync their bookmarks seamlessly across all of their devices and take advantage of Scribd's offline reading feature, saving the guidebooks on their devices in order to access on the go, even without an Internet connection.
