Scription Partners with GlacierGrid to Bring Enterprise-Grade HVAC Monitoring to Small Commercial Operators

The partnership combines GlacierGrid's real-time equipment monitoring with Scription's fixed-price HVAC service contracts, bringing the tools large operators rely on to a market enterprise technology has passed over.

NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Scription, a venture-backed commercial HVAC Service Contract Administrator, today announced a reseller partnership with GlacierGrid, the cooling intelligence platform that monitors and optimizes HVAC and refrigeration equipment across more than 5,000 commercial locations. Under the agreement, Scription will offer GlacierGrid's monitoring platform to small commercial operators across the U.S. as RoofIQ Plus, powered by GlacierGrid. RoofIQ Plus is available immediately through Scription's broker and commercial real estate partners.

Enterprise buildings are managed by technology. Large operators run building management systems and remote equipment monitoring that flag problems before they turn into failures, and they have facilities teams to act on what those systems report. The small operator's rooftop is still run by a thermostat and a phone call to a service company. A restaurant group with three locations, an auto dealership, a country club or a fitness studio runs the same rooftop equipment as a large operator and faces the same failures. But it buys HVAC service the way it always has: break, call, pay. These operators represent a vast and fragmented across every industry, and reaching them one building at a time has always been the hard part.

Scription changes that equation. Its annual fixed-price service contracts cover rooftop HVAC equipment against failures from ordinary wear, age and use. Those are the failures property and equipment breakdown insurance exclude by design. GlacierGrid gives these buildings the equipment visibility enterprise systems provide, without the cost or complexity of a BMS installation. Wireless sensors on each rooftop unit stream performance data to GlacierGrid's platform, which flags [short-cycling, airflow and refrigerant problems, and failing components] before they become breakdowns. For a small operator, Scription's contract is what turns that visibility into savings. When monitoring catches a problem early, the benefit doesn't depend on having a facilities team to act on it. It shows up as fewer emergency repairs, longer equipment life, better capital planning and lower energy use.
