Designed to supersede both HTML4 and XHTML and despite its obvious improvements on both of these systems, HTML5 has not yet made it into the mainstream. HTML5 uses several new syntactic features such as <video> <audio> and <canvas> elements, which will basically make Flash and JavaScript defunct.
