Seattle Met Magazine Honors 14 Evergreen Doctors with Annual "Top Doctors" Recognition

KIRKLAND, Wash., Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Evergreen Healthcare today announced that Seattle Met magazine has named 14 Evergreen doctors to the magazine's "Top Doctors 2011" list, a designation that places Evergreen physicians among the top 5 percent of practitioners in each of their fields within the Seattle metropolitan area.

Seattle Met conducts an annual, comprehensive survey of Seattle-area healthcare providers across dozens of specialties to rank the highest-rated doctors based on peer endorsements, experience, awards and several other criteria.  In total, the 2011 list includes 612 Seattle-area practitioners in 66 specialties.

Seattle Met partnered with Avvo.com to collect nominations and conduct this year's Top Doctors survey.  Avvo is an online physician rating service that maintains physician profiles and ranks doctors using a proprietary algorithm, which factors in several criteria including education, experience, peer endorsements, awards and others.

Avvo's system rates doctors on a 10-point scale, with a 10-point rating representing the most superb practitioners.  Five of the Evergreen doctors who received Top Doctors 2011 recognition also achieved a perfect 10-point rating on Avvo's scale.  They include:
