Seattle Met magazine recognizes 135 EvergreenHealth providers with "Top Doctors 2014" honor
KIRKLAND, Wash., Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The latest issue of Seattle Met magazine names 135 providers and nurse practitioners within the EvergreenHealth network to the publication's ninth annual "Top Doctors" list that honors the top-performing medical practitioners in the Puget Sound region.
Each year, Seattle Met publishes the results of its annual survey that asks medical professionals in King, Kitsap, Snohomish and parts of Pierce counties to nominate the colleagues they would entrust with a loved one's medical care. More than 1,400 doctors, nurses and physician assistants participated in this year's survey, nominating nearly 13,000 providers. The 2014 "Top Doctors" list honors 974 providers and nurses across 78 specialties.

Of the nearly 13,000 nominations, just the top 15 percent of practitioners were considered as semifinalists for the list. To determine the finalists, Seattle Met assembles an independent, anonymous panel of administrators, doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants from the region's hospitals, clinics, private practices and associations.
The panel makes its selections based on a provider's experience and competency within his or her specialty, patient satisfaction, compliance with care recommendations and ability to work effectively with colleagues across specialties to deliver the best care for patients.
