NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- KRUPS USA, worldwide leader in small kitchen appliances, is proud to announce its 2013 "KRUPS Appreciates…" campaign, recognizing those who educate and shape our nation's youth and communities each day.

In celebration of its love of coffee surrounding National Coffee Day (Sunday, September 29) as well as gratitude towards those who educate our children and serve our communities, KRUPS chose this time to activate a nationwide contest offering teachers (including teachers, educators, aides, principles and more, as well as corresponding administrative and office personnel and employees within these organizations) the chance to win a break room or kitchen area makeover, outfitted with new, high-end KRUPS appliances (approximate retail value $3,000), including coffee and espresso machines, blender, panini maker and more.

This marks the second year of the "KRUPS Appreciates…" campaign, which KRUPS introduced last year to show appreciation for the service and dedication of first responders, firemen and police officers. This year's campaign aims to recognize every day heroes in the classroom, and is part of the KRUPS ongoing initiative to acknowledge deserving American heroes each year surrounding National Coffee Day.

"As parents and community members, we recognize the effort and dedication teachers pour into educating and growing their students in what can sometimes be a thankless job," said Michele Lupton, Marketing Communications Director for Group SEB, parent company of KRUPS. "We feel it will be an honor to give back to some of these teachers by furnishing their break room or kitchen area with high-quality, precision coffee and espresso machines and kitchen appliances designed by KRUPS, as well as calling for current and former students to acknowledge the great impact these teachers have made on their lives."

The nationwide contest is featured on the KRUPS Facebook page and is open for entries now through November 22, 2013. Entries will consist of a photo submission of the break room or kitchen area in a school of any type (public, private, charter) and at all levels (elementary, middle high school, etc.). Photo submissions should be accompanied by a caption stating why the teacher(s) and educator(s) associated with these spaces are most deserving.

What's more, during the contest period, three runner-up entrants will be randomly selected to win a brand new KRUPS Coffee Machine (approximate retail value $199.00). KRUPS will also be offering promotions and giveaways each week to all Facebook fans throughout the duration of the contest, along with creative and delicious coffee recipes for KRUPS coffee-loving fans in celebration of National Coffee Day.

The "KRUPS Appreciates…" winner will be announced on or about December 2, 2013.  For full details, see the contest's official rules on the KRUPS Facebook page here: and at the contest page here:
