Second Year Of Gretzky Hockey School Shows Tremendous Growth
Prestigious Camp Opens in Four New Markets to Fulfill Demand
LOS ANGELES, April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Gretzky Hockey School, which operated its first camp last summer in Coeur d'Alene, ID, has expanded its reach to accommodate increased demand for spots in the star-studded hockey camp for players ages 7-15.
New stops for the camp this year include St. Louis, MO, Edmonton, AB, Toronto, ON, and Simi Valley, CA. Coeur d'Alene, ID will again host a camp.
"We are very excited to expand this great program to five locations and six schools this summer," said Ty Gretzky, who founded the camps along with Eric Kleineck. "We have a very good team of instructors and off-ice coaches, and are extremely fortunate to be able to grow the Gretzky brand while being involved with youth hockey. We have a great program put together for 2015, and can't wait to share it with the campers and their families."
The Gretzky Hockey School boasts a staff of current and former NHL coaches and professional hockey players, and last year's camp included Mark Ciaccio of the NY Rangers, Keith and Glen Gretzky, Dean Malkoc of the Boston Bruins, and other industry-leading instructors.
On-ice visits from legendary NHL stars like Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, and Guy Carbonneau (some of the participants from last year) are an important part of the experience, as well as off-ice skills sessions and the occasional Walter Gretzky interaction.
