Second Year of Rapid Growth Project Launched by Enterprise Center
Special Program for Growth Company CEO's Opens in September
SALEM, Mass., May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Enterprise Center at Salem State University (www.enterprisectr.org) today launched the 2011 Rapid Growth Project —a quick start program that helps growth company CEO's maximize their growth skills. Applications are now being accepted for the fall 2011 program, which will begin on September 16th.
The Rapid Growth Project is designed specifically to help companies dealing with the problem many companies would love to have: keeping up with their own success. With success comes stress. Leaders of companies that are growing quickly find their sales, marketing and other systems become outmoded. Their management team is faced with a whole new set of challenges, from staffing to funding. Participants this year came from all kinds of companies from high tech to toys, from metal fabrication to consulting and more.
The initial Rapid Growth Project, introduced last fall, brought together 15 diverse companies that ranged from high tech to toys, to restaurant to metal fabrication, consulting—and more. Was the program's mix of highly focused seminars, personalized mentoring and a confidential CEO group effective? Ask Brian Sullivan of Net Technologies who said that the Rapid Growth Project "was instrumental in providing me two unique perspectives. The consultant sessions reinforced my business foundation while the CEO group provided me keen insight into challenges I was facing at the time and advice on how to avoid key issues in the future. The two programs together provided a well needed balance of theory and practical experience."
He is not alone. Virtually every participant had similar comments about the value of the program, which is made possible by a grant from the Massachusetts Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the Massachusetts Growth Corporation. The Rapid Growth Project includes six seminars on specific growth challenges, one-on-one mentoring, and a special CEO group of other growth company owners who will meet monthly to share their concerns, solutions and experience.
