Self-Pay Patients Get Immediate Access to Top Medical Specialists

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HelloMD (hellomd.com) today announced the release of its Telehealth services for patients everywhere, to access some of the world's leading medical specialists. Top doctors from the west coast continue adding to the list of medical specialists available on the site. 

HelloMD follows a strict selection process to ensure that just the top 1% of doctors are represented. The actual process is proprietary, but includes consideration of both subjective and objective measures, including peer nomination and review. Thus far, the company has enlisted top neurosurgeons, orthopedic specialists, cardiovascular, plastic surgeons ophthalmologists, and others. The company has plans to cover every major medical specialty, and city in the US.

The system works by creating a 'care team,' which has access to each patient case. The care team can span geographic borders, and includes secure (HIPAA compliant) medical records management, and communications between consulting doctors, the patient and care coordinators.  These capabilities ensure that the continuum of care is not compromised as the patient transitions from one provider to another.

The company is building an international doctor referral network and already has formal alliances with significant physician groups in China. In addition, the company's proprietary library of over five hundred doctors videos will be converted to Chinese, with other languages to follow.
