Senior 20/20 Consultant presents local CPE Collections Seminar

DENVER, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Senior Tax Consultant, David F. Miles, E.A. held a seminar on "Fundamentals of Collection" in Denver, Colorado, on December 5th, 2013.  This introductory course provided insight into the specific knowledge and tools needed to successfully navigate the waters of the IRS Collection Division while simultaneously preparing for resolution alternatives.  With an audience comprised of Enrolled Agents and CPAs - Miles was able to teach these practitioners about what 20/20 Tax Resolution does best. Providing compassionate tax resolution for clients, both effectively and efficiently.

Miles explains, "I especially enjoy teaching the Fundamentals of Collection class because of the opportunity it gives me to influence my profession on a very basic level.  Of course, there is quite a bit of technical knowledge involved in collection work but this class also touches on important topics such as communication, attitude and managing expectations."

With over 16 years of experience, Miles works nationally as a taxpayer representative and is an active educator of other tax practitioners in the Greater Denver area.  When asked about the ability to influence the tax resolution community, he reflects, "In addition to resolution work, it is always my goal to ensure that those engaged in collection work have the proper knowledge base.  Teaching these types of courses is a great way for 20/20 and myself to make a positive mark on the profession." Miles has served as an instructor at the 2011-2013 NAEA National and Orlando conferences and currently serves on the NAEA's Government Relations committee.  Miles has also been published in the EA Journal, most recently in the summer 2012 edition.
