Senior Executives of Cytyc Corporation, and Constitution Medical, Inc., Announce the Launch of ATON PARTNERS

BOSTON, Sept. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Patrick Sullivan and Daniel Levangie, senior executives who led the emergence of Cytyc Corporation as a leading women's healthcare company and subsequently the formation of Constitution Medical, Inc., today announced the formation of ATON Partners, LLC.  Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Levangie formed ATON Partners to provide management advisory services to early stage medical device and in vitro diagnostic companies while evaluating investment opportunities within these areas of medical technology and product development.  Mr. Sullivan, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytyc Corporation, and Mr. Levangie, former Executive Vice President of Cytyc Corporation and President of Cytyc's Surgical Products Division, formed Constitution Medical Investors in Partnership with Warburg Pincus Private Equity in 2008 and subsequently built Constitution Medical, Inc.  Constitution Medical, Inc., developers of the Bloodhound Integrated Hematology System, was acquired by Roche Diagnostics in July 2013.

ATON Partners will provide advisory services to medical device and in vitro diagnostic companies where the principals will be able to leverage their product development, regulatory, clinical and commercial experience.  Over the course of 15 years at Cytyc, one of the leading companies focused on improving healthcare for women, Sullivan and Levangie led the executive team that grew Cytyc Corporation to approximately $700 million in annual revenues while establishing operations in 20 countries.
