Sensata Named a Most Valuable Supplier by Broad-Ocean Motor Company of China

ALMELO, Netherlands, Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. (NYSE: ST), a leading manufacturer of sensors and controls, has been selected by Broad-Ocean Motor Company Limited (dba as BOM), one of China's largest motor makers, as one of its most valuable suppliers of the year for the second year in a row.  As one of Broad-Ocean's best suppliers, Sensata has helped the manufacturer expand production in the appliance segment and contributed to its product development efforts.

Sensata has been working with Broad-Ocean since 2000, supplying motor and thermal protection controls in support of the company's rapid growth in domestic and overseas markets.  This is a prime example of the type of customer and market share gains that Sensata is realizing in emerging markets due to an expanding middle class, which is creating demand for goods such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, air conditioners, and automobiles.
