Sentry Data Systems, Inc. names Tom Tran as CFO and COO
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., Sept. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentry Data Systems, a leader in 340B compliance and advanced healthcare analytics solutions, recently announced Tom Tran as the organization's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Tran, who has been with Sentry since May 2016, has recently accepted the position of CFO and COO and reports directly to the CEO. Tran will oversee finance, human resources, compliance, technology and operations.

Prior to Sentry, Tran served for more than six years as CFO of WellCare Health Plans, a Fortune 500 publicly-traded managed care company with revenue of $13 billion. Prior to that, Tran was president, COO and CFO of CareGuide, Inc., a population health management company. He also served as CFO of Uniprise, Inc., one of the principal operating businesses of UnitedHealth Group who manages healthcare benefits programs for its more than 11 million members. Tran has also served as CFO of ConnectiCare, Inc., as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and as Vice President of Finance and Controller for CIGNA HealthCare.
Tran was a board member of International Medical Group, a provider of international medical, life, dental and disability insurance products. He also served on the board of Partners Community HealthCare (PCHI) where he chaired the audit committee. PCHI was an affiliate of Partners Healthcare, the largest integrated delivery system in Boston that included Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Tran has been a member of the Seton Hall University President Advisory Council since 1997.
Tran holds a BS degree in accounting from Seton Hall University and an MBA in finance from New York University.
