September is Shoptember in Sarasota

SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- This September, visitors to Sarasota County can enjoy deals at retail locations during the third annual "Shoptember" promotion. Visit Sarasota County (VSC) is joining with retailers, shopping districts, restaurants and more throughout the region to promote Shoptember.

"September is historically a slower period for many of our tourism partners including shopping districts," says Virginia J. Haley, CDME, President of Visit Sarasota County. "Sarasota's always been a destination that encourages visitors go explore beyond the beaches and our shopping districts are no exception. The third annual Shoptember program is designed to drive people to shop in our shops, dine in restaurants and take advantage of savings and deals while doing so."

Shopping districts in the region include, but are not limited to, St. Armands Circle, Lakewood Ranch, the Mall at University Town Center, Historic Downtown Venice, Historic Palm Avenue and the Shoppes at Sarasota Row in downtown. Shopping for major brands is possible at places like Westfield's Sarasota Square and visitors can peruse local shops along Dearborn Street in Englewood or St. Armands Circle.
