Shade Foundation of America Welcomes Scottsdale Businessman Jason Hope to Its President's Club
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Local entrepreneur and businessman Jason Hope has joined Shade Foundation of America's President's Club, a prestigious group of individuals who support Shade's goal to eradicate melanoma through the education of children and the community in the prevention and detection of skin cancer and the promotion of sun safety. Hope's donation will help support Shade's programs including "Limit the Sun, Not the Fun," providing free, sun-safe indoor activities for children during the summer months and "SHADE Cover," which provides direct protection from dangerous ultra violet radiation to schools and community organizations.
"I'm a firm believer that education and disease cure go hand in hand which is the core of Shade Foundation of America's mission. Here in Arizona our kids are in the pool and on the playground year round; it's so essential we teach them the importance of sun protection. I'm looking forward to working with Shade to help the foundation achieve its goal to make the world skin-cancer free," said Jason Hope.
As a member of the President's Club, Hope will have the opportunity to attend and sponsor Shade's fundraising events held around the country. Since Shade's founding in 2002, it has provided more than 20-million hours of SHADE through shade covers, educated over 80,000 children about sun safety, planted 100 trees and had 25,000 children participate in the "Limit the Sun, Not the Fun" program.
