Shaquille O'Neal And AriZona Beverages Promote Healthy Lifestyles

Jul 09, 2013, 14:33 ET from AriZona Beverages

NEW YORK, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of their new Soda Shaq, all-natural line of cream sodas, AriZona Beverages and Shaquille O'Neal give back to the community, support sports and healthy lifestyles.  Shaquille O'Neal will be the guest of honor, speaking from first hand experience about how playing basketball as a child at his local Boys & Girls Club gave him a safe place to play sports and keep him off the streets. "It gave me something to do," he said. "I'd just go there to shoot." Exercise, fitness and team sports are leading reasons for Shaquille O'Neal's success later in life and he's eager to share his experience with kids who could follow in his footsteps. As part of this new initiative, AriZona Beverages is donating a $5,000 scholarship for 10 underprivileged kids to attend basketball camp at Basketball City in Shaquille O'Neal's honor.
