Shareablee Social Scorecard Reveals Top 10 Media Publishers for November 2014
Bleacher Report, The Economist have highest engagement on Twitter
U.S. Media Publishing Category declines for the first time in 2014, down 3 percent
NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading social media benchmarking and audience analysis firm, Shareablee Inc., released the monthly Media Publisher Edition of its Shareablee Social Scorecard. Of the Top Ten, Bleacher Report had the highest engagement on Twitter with four times more actions per tweet than the nearest competitor. The Economist led the business category on Twitter with 447 actions per tweet. Hollywood Life had the highest social audience growth (up 18 percent) driving it to the number 8 spot.
Social engagement for the U.S. media publishing category fell 3 percent across all social platforms – the first dip in 2014, largely driven by lower posting on Facebook. In comparison, social engagement across all U.S. brands decreased 2 percent on average, with posting down by 8 percent. In November, publishing properties on social media in the U.S. accounted for 551M actions total (362.4M actions on Facebook, 26.7M on Twitter and 132.1M on Instagram).
The top performing publisher categories ranked by volume of social media actions across all platforms were:

Fastest growing category by volume of social media actions was Men's Interest (up 8 percent) driven largely by Esquire, GQ and DETAILS, which grew 71 percent, 45 percent and 43 percent, respectively.
