"The greatest leaps forward come at times of great crisis," said Takashi Ohyama, director for the CEATEC Japan Management Office at the Japan Electronics Show Association (JESA). "We are working with ShowStoppers to help communicate a message to the world of recovery and reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake."
"We believe it's important to help journalists around the world track the resilience of Japan, the creativity and craftsmanship of its people, and the vitality of its consumer electronics, technology and manufacturing industries," said Steve Leon, partner, ShowStoppers.
CEATEC JAPAN takes place 4-8 October at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. This year's show focuses on "cutting-edge technologies to create the future" for a "safe, secure, smart low-carbon society." Exhibits feature renewable energy, smart communities, robotics, digital products and services for home and business, electronic components and devices, and previews of the technologies and products "of tomorrow that will form the backbone of manufacturing in Japan."
CEATEC JAPAN is collaborating with the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011. "We hold a deep conviction that the collaboration of these two shows is a statement of renewal for two great industries in Japan," said Ohyama.
Now in its 20th year, ShowStoppers is the global leader in producing press and business events. Each event organizes product introductions, sneak previews and demonstrations for hundreds of selected journalists, bloggers, industry and financial analysts, venture capitalists and business executives. Industry leaders, innovators and startups exhibit to help generate news coverage and product reviews, make new connections, promote brand, and open new markets.
