SHP Mourns Beloved "Coach Fab"
ATHERTON, Calif., Sept. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton community is deeply saddened by the passing of longtime football coach Mark "Coach Fab" Fabbri, a beloved mentor and leader in the Gator community for over a decade.
Coach Fab was a steady presence on the sidelines and a vital part of SHP Football's most successful era, helping lead the program to league, CCS, NorCal, and the school's first State Championship in 2021. Known for his calm strength, high standards, and unwavering care for his players, he shaped not just athletes—but young men of character and resilience.
"Coach Fab had high standards and a clear way of getting his message across," said former lineman John Adrian Dioli (SHP '22). "But it always came from a place of care… he showed up every day to help us grow."
Head Coach Mark Grieb added, "He was a coach in every sense of the word. His impact is woven into the heart of our program."
SHP extends its deepest condolences to Coach Fab's wife, Maureen, his daughters Aimee, Amanda, and Alicia, and his granddaughter Delilah. His legacy of grit, care, and connection will live on in all who had the privilege to know him.
