"Brian's background reaches nearly every corner of how research and knowledge get published, evaluated, and trusted," said Marc Toth, CEO of Siensmetrica. "As Tessa scales to bring transparency and rigor to biomedical research evaluation, his experience navigating that ecosystem will directly affect how we enhance the technology for the people who rely on us."
Siensmetrica's flagship platform, Tessa, analyzes scientific literature across nearly 200 methodological and contextual data points. By generating standardized trustworthiness metrics (TScores) and deep-dive analytical frameworks, Tessa enables researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and biopharma leaders to quickly differentiate high-integrity evidence from flawed methodology.
"The accelerating pace of scientific discovery presents a huge opportunity to advance human progress, but it also presents a major challenge for the research-intensive industries: how to sort through the unprecedented volume of published research to find the best, most relevant information to advance their work," said Napack. "Tessa is accelerating innovation and problem solving by helping research consumers quickly and confidently sort strong evidence and conclusions from weak ones. I'm glad to be working with this team as they build a better way to evaluate scientific research."
