WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, N.J., Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Signia today announced that Pure Charge&Go MaX, the world's first hearing aid powered by the Multi‑adaptive Xperience (MaX) platform, is now available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Indian Health Service (IHS). Leveraging Acoustic Intelligence™, MaX integrates four specialized deep neural networks that work together in real time to understand speech, noise, the environment, and the wearer's own voice.
For veterans with hearing loss, following conversations in noisy environments can be a persistent challenge, even when hearing aids perform well in quieter settings. Whether gathering with family, dining out with friends, or reconnecting with fellow service members, overlapping voices and background noise can make it difficult to keep up and participate.
Powered by four specialized DNNs working simultaneously, Signia MaX adapts to complex listening environments to help wearers follow and participate in conversations, even when multiple people are speaking at once. In research, 97% of wearers performed better with MaX in noisy group conversations compared to key competitors.[1]
"Veterans and active duty personnel deserve access to hearing technology that can keep up with their lives, including the moments when conversations get loud and unpredictable," said Mike Irby, AuD, VP of Sales, Government Services, WSA. "With Signia MaX, we're bringing an entirely new approach to hearing in noise to the veteran community. Whether they're catching up with family over dinner or reconnecting with fellow service members, we want veterans to feel confident following the conversation and contributing to it."
Acoustic Intelligence: A New Approach to Hearing in Noise
Traditional hearing aids often struggle to keep pace with dynamic group conversations, where voices overlap and background noise constantly changes. Signia MaX addresses this through Acoustic Intelligence™, which unites four specialized AI networks that work together as one coordinated system to power four core capabilities:
- RealTime Conversation EnhancementAI – Locates and enhances multiple conversation partners in dynamic group conversation.
- Own Voice ProcessingAI – Provides immediate, accurate own voice recognition without any in-clinic calibration.
- Ambient Scene AdaptationAI – Moves beyond traditional scene classification and fixed listening programs to continuously analyze and adapt to multiple environmental characteristics.
- Dynamic Noise ControlAI – Understands what noise is present, where it comes from, and whether the wearer is in conversation – adjusting noise reduction appropriately.
Pure C&G MaX: Designed for Every Day
Pure C&G MaX features a rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) design that is available in eight color options, and includes a pocket-size portable charger that stores up to four full charges. A full charge takes four hours, while 30 minutes of charging provides up to six hours of runtime.
The hearing aid also features OneConnect Technology, supporting Bluetooth® Classic, LE Audio, Telecoil, and Auracast™ connectivity.[2] This gives veterans a broad range of options for connecting to compatible personal devices and audio systems, supporting their everyday communication and listening needs.
"Veterans and active duty personnel have given so much in service to our country, and they deserve hearing technology that helps them make the most of every moment," Irby concluded. "With MaX, we're proud to bring our most advanced hearing technology to the veteran community, helping more people enjoy lively conversations, reconnect with those around them, and embrace everything life has to offer. That's what it means to Live Noisy."
In addition to MaX, Active Mini IX is now available through the VA, DoD, and IHS. As the world's smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid with connectivity, Active Mini IX brings the full performance of Signia's Integrated Xperience (IX) platform to a discreet, rechargeable design that enables same-day fittings for veterans.
