"SILVER will be more than a restaurant," said Barlow. "It will be a place to celebrate friendships, lounge with new acquaintances, engage in great business chatter and experience a new kind of Utah-inspired energy, style and ambiance – all while listening to great music and indulging in Todd Mark Miller's unparalleled cuisine."
Miller – a Utah native who has cooked in the best restaurants in the country including Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Prime in Las Vegas, Stephen Starr's Barclay Prime in Philadelphia and more recently STK in New York City and Miami – is known for bringing bold, inventive twists to American classics. Miller's ever-changing menu for SILVER will reflect his playfully progressive spirit and culinary experience. Famous for his fresh alternative approach to traditional steakhouse offerings, Miller will offer a variety of beef dishes created for the modern palate. He will also feature sustainable, seasonal and, when available, local food including a range of seafood and vegetarian dishes. Complementing Miller's creations will be one of the most extensive and exclusive wine lists in Utah with a cellar of new world and old world wines. A cocktail list of well-mixed libations will round out the offerings.
Housed in a timeless 1926 two-story brick building transformed by the internationally renowned design firm Rockwell Group of New York, SILVER will stand out with its contemporary and sleek design, a departure from the earthy, ski lodge aesthetic of most of the restaurants in the vicinity. The new SILVER, the original site of the Marsac Silver Mining Company, will pay tribute to history both in its name and design. Veins of silver pervade the exterior and interior of the freestanding building, giving a new life to the precious metal that put Park City on the map.
SILVER will accommodate seating for 140 spread out over three-levels plus a private dining room that seats 48. Mood-transforming lighting, jewel-like colors, dramatic textures and unexpected flourishes will permeate throughout. Such details will include etched glass walls with a pattern of liquid silver vines, wood with a cerused silver color that covers the floors and ceilings covered in intricate silver leaves.
SILVER's main dining room will be centered by a walnut communal table with veins of silver and topped on one end by a dramatic Venetian-inspired blue glass chandelier. The kitchen will be partially visible and separated by a floor-to-ceiling wine wall and framed by two hanging hearths. On another level, the open bar and lounge will include low lying cocktail tables and stools alongside a walnut wood bar and a glass-enclosed DJ booth with a clear view of the main level. A sexy lower lounge level with cobalt blue mohair banquettes and silver alligator bolsters will offer the ultimate in stylish relaxation.
SILVER will open for dinner seven days a week, with lunch and brunch to soon follow. It is sure to be known as a destination restaurant. SILVER is located at 508 Main Street, Park City, UT 10019. For reservations please call 435-940-1000 or visit www.silverrestaurant.com.
