Simione Healthcare Consultants Appoints Cynthia Gibbons as Senior Manager in Financial Consulting
HAMDEN, Conn., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Simione Healthcare Consultants announced the appointment of Cynthia Gibbons, MBA, CHCE, of Woodbridge, Connecticut, as a senior manager in financial consulting to support business improvement for home care and hospice organizations. A certified home care and hospice executive with more than 25 years in fiscal operations for senior and home-based healthcare organizations, Gibbons has an extensive background in financial management, most recently as national director of finance for home health/hospice/post-acute care at Tenet Health, Dallas, Texas. There, she managed financial operations for eleven agencies, including budget, financial compliance, cost reporting, revenue cycle, evaluation of mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting. Additionally, she is highly experienced in reimbursement and revenue management, operational re-design, strategic planning and development, project management and system conversions.
Between 2005-2016, she served in progressive roles at Masonicare, Wallingford, CT, including corporate director of financial planning and analysis, administrator of home health and hospice, and director of financial operations. She also served as chief financial officer at VNA Services, Hamden, CT, (1996-2005). Prior to working in the home health and hospice field, she served in various finance roles in other healthcare sectors, starting as a Medicare auditor for the intermediary in Connecticut.
Gibbons earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration and a B.S. in accounting from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT.
