MILWAUKEE, May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company, announced today that its board of directors has elected Simon Davis as vice president and assistant chief Human Resources officer, making him a corporate officer effective immediately. Simon will continue reporting to Susan Davis, executive vice president, Human Resources.
Davis, who joined Johnson Controls in 1997 in the United Kingdom, most recently served as vice president Talent Strategy and Organizational Excellence where he was responsible for the Human Resources transformation design and implementation, including the establishment of global centers of excellence and shared services. He also oversaw senior talent assessment and development, ensuring a robust pipeline of future leaders.
In his 17 years with the company, Davis has held a variety of Human Resources leadership roles across multiple business units, spending nearly 10 years in Automotive Experience in the United Kingdom and Michigan. Subsequently, he was Human Resources leader and talent strategist for Power Solutions for nearly five years during a period of business diversification, growth and globalization.
Davis has a bachelor's degree in Business from Sheffield Hallam University.
