Singer/Songwriter Marie Digby's Debut Film 'Breathing Underwater--The Movie' to Air in 17 Episodes on ABCMusicLounge.com

BURBANK, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hollywood Records recording artist Marie Digby has announced a July 1st premiere for "Breathing Underwater--The Movie," a film starring Digby and based on themes explored on the singer-songwriter's latest album, BREATHING UNDERWATER. Comprised of 17 episodes, each of which is 3-5 minutes long, the film captures the story of a young woman's heart as told through her music. Episodes of "Breathing Underwater--The Movie" will post on ABCMusicLounge.com throughout the month of July with the final episode posting on August 3.

Digby was recently announced as ABC's special touring correspondent for the 2010 Lilith Tour. The 27-year-old Los Angeles native will be traveling and reporting from across the country as she follows the tour. Fans will be able to experience Lilith through Digby's home videos from the road as well as her interaction with fans and artists. In addition, she will perform a special acoustic set each night of the tour from the ABC Music Lounge.

Digby vaulted to the forefront of emerging artists after a homemade video of her performing an acoustic version of Rihanna's hit single "Umbrella" made her a YouTube phenom (still a fan favorite, the video has garnered more than 15 million views to date). Marie continues to be a viral sensation with her homemade YouTube videos garnering a staggering 80 million views to date and counting.  Marie is currently ranked the #20 most subscribed musician channel on YouTube.

As quickly as you can say "viral video," Digby was in heavy rotation on LA's STAR 98.7 setting the stage for wider national exposure.  Marie has been featured in magazines such as Esquire, ELLE, Lucky, Marie Claire and People Magazine who gave Digby's album BREATHING UNDERWATER a 3 star review.  Her music has been featured in a string of TV shows including ER, Greek, One Tree Hill, 90210 and Lincoln Heights.
