Singer/songwriter/producer Jerad Finck Signs Label Deal With Onerpm
Following the high impact success of the socially conscious "New Kids" - including a popular SEAWAVES remix - for the release of his follow-up single "home", releasing April 12
LOS ANGELES, March 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Finishing up his first full length album, Jerad Finck offers a colorful intro to the fresh, analog-driven aural chemistry he's been creating with its lead single "Home" - a soulful and infectious, sonically expansive track bursting with optimism that reminds us that it's never too late to "find our way back home."
Co-written by Jerad with Steven Solomon (Who penned the smash "Say You Won't Let Go" reaching over 1 Billion streams in 2018), and Jake Newton of alt-pop band Sleeping Wolf. "Home" is set to drop April 12.
"Home is a song that was cathartic for me in a sense that no matter what, no matter how far you go, or how bad things can seem, there is always a way back, there is always a way back to where you started, or why or where you began in the first place," says Finck.
"Home" follows Jerad's extraordinary success with "New Kids," which sold over 50k downloads, debuted on Billboard and amassed over two million Spotify streams. A version remixed by popular UK duo SEAWAVES– which currently has nearly 200,000 Spotify streams – was released in support of Everytown for Gun Safety (www.everytown.org), a non profit which advocates for gun control against gun violence. Jerad recently signed what he calls "the biggest deal of my life" with OneRPM for distribution and label services being personally A&R'd by industry veteran Chris Allen.
"It's the culmination of so many things for me," the singer says. "Now I'm ready to put out everything I've been working on, and I'm finishing up the final touches on the record. I really wanted to do something that I was proud of and push myself, so I've spent literally the last year doing nothing but writing and producing as much as I could with everyone I could, to really get what I thought was the next level of music for me. I felt like I had so much to say with everything going on in the world, and nothing speaks louder than music. I've really dove deep into mixing analog sounds and synths with new modulation tools to really create sounds that were my own. I've been co-writing and co-producing with some of who I think are the coolest people in music right now, and it's just been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Now I'm wrapping up, and I'm so excited to get it out there."
Jerad's first radio release "Runaway" was the #1 independent song in the country on the Adult Contemporary chart as well as The Billboard Hot AC chart. The song's title became the perfect metaphor for the wild success of the track, which has propelled the tireless performer and road warrior to new heights in his career – including collaborating and co-writing tracks with top producers David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Christina Perri), Steven Solomon (James Arthur, Christina Perri, 5SOS), and Denny White (the Fray, Tiesto, Usher). Hodges helmed "Criminal," the infectious power-pop ballad that became Jerad's second hit at radio and sold over 15k Downloads. Jerad also won the 2016 USA Songwriting Competition grand prize; previous winners include American Authors and Megan Trainor.
