SiriusXM Welcomes Back Fans for Start of 2012-13 NHL Season

NEW YORK, Jan. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NHL®, will welcome back fans for the start of the 2012-13 NHL season with an extensive schedule of play-by-play through the regular season and Stanley Cup® Playoffs, plus daily hockey talk on the SiriusXM NHL Network Radio™ channel.

SiriusXM will broadcast all 13 games live on Opening Day this Saturday, January 19.  Throughout the season, subscribers will have access to an extensive schedule of regular-season games and all playoff games through the Stanley Cup Final on XM channels 204-206, 212-216 and 92 and Sirius Premier channels 211-220 and 207.

NHL play-by-play is available to XM and Sirius Premier subscribers.  Those subscribers who have SiriusXM Internet Radio access in addition to their satellite radio subscription can also listen to NHL games on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online.  Weekly schedules with SiriusXM channel assignments can be found at www.siriusxm.com/nhl.

On Tuesday, January 22, SiriusXM's Chris "Mad Dog" Russo will host a special NHL edition of his show, Mad Dog Unleashed, live from 2:00 to 4:00 pm ET from the NHL Powered by Reebok Store in midtown Manhattan.  Russo will sit down for an in-store interview with New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, the NHL's reigning Vezina Trophy winner, and will talk with NHL insiders and fans about the season ahead.  Mad Dog Unleashed airs every weekday afternoon on Mad Dog Radio (SiriusXM channel 86).
