Sisco Completes Integration Of Its A-PASS® 6 Life Safety Mustering And Search Plan Software With L-3 MAPPS' World-class Safety Management System (SMS)

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Security Identification Systems (SISCO) has successfully completed integration of its A-PASS® 6 Life Safety Mustering Software and Search Plan Software with
L-3 MAPPS' world-class Safety Management System (SMS), via the A-PASS® Event Notification (EVE) Service.

A ship's captain and safety team will now, in real time, be able to monitor the status of any emergency mustering operation as well as any onboard search.  During mustering drills or real emergencies, the EVE Service will send the SMS updates as passengers and crew are checked into a muster station.  The information provided includes passenger name, gender, cabin, disability code, muster assignment and muster check-in location.  The SMS graphical display will show a quick overview of all emergency mustering operations and cabins in which passengers have not yet been accounted for or require assistance due to a disability. This same operation applies for all crew members.

In the case of a missing person or suspicious item, the EVE service will pass along status on all areas as they are searched. The status information is viewable on the SMS graphical display with a red alert notification that a suspicious item has been found; yellow indicates a search is in progress and green indicates that an area has been cleared.  The graphical overview will allow the Captain and his team to focus on areas of concern while being assured of the safety of all passengers and crew members.

The EVE service will also alert the Captain and safety team if any of the mobile muster or mobile search plan hardware is off-line, allowing the team to deploy a safety member to that area to evaluate the situation in real time.
