Sitecore and Dataweavers Expand Sovereign Cloud Hosting for SitecoreAI into New Regulated Markets

Arc by Dataweavers extends its sovereign cloud hosting model for SitecoreAI to new regulated markets, including China, the Middle East, and Canada.

NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dataweavers, the enterprise platform operations company behind Arc, and Sitecore, a global leader in digital experience platforms, today announced an expansion of Arc's sovereign cloud hosting model for SitecoreAI into new regulated markets, including China, the Middle East, and Canada, giving global enterprises an in-country hosting option designed to help them meet local data residency requirements when delivering SitecoreAI-powered experiences, without rebuilding their platform investment.

"Enterprise organizations are navigating an increasingly complex map of data residency and compliance requirements," said Darren Paterson, President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Sitecore. "Dataweavers has built a hosting model that helps our customers extend SitecoreAI-powered experiences into new regulated markets while addressing local data residency requirements. It's exactly the kind of partner engineering that supports our most complex, regulated customers in using SitecoreAI, wherever they operate."

Regulated markets increasingly require that transactional and personal data be stored and processed in-country, and in some regions, delivering a usable experience depends on serving it locally. Arc by Dataweavers helps SitecoreAI customers address these requirements, running inside the customer's own Azure tenant on region-specific infrastructure, with self-service Next.js hosting, built-in governance, and enterprise-grade security under a single Arc service level agreement. For markets with the strictest requirements, such as China, Arc is designed to support in-country hosting, of the front-end compute, data and delivery layer, subject to applicable local requirements. Availability of specific SitecoreAI capabilities, including AI-powered features that rely on third-party services, may vary by market.

"Data residency is a trend we're seeing everywhere and infrastructure has to stay closer to home, wherever home is," said Owen Brandt, Chief Revenue Officer of Dataweavers. "Organizations need a platform strategy that travels with them, not one they rebuild every time they enter a new region. Closing that gap, market by market, is exactly the kind of problem Arc exists to solve."

This announcement builds on Dataweavers' existing strategic alliance with Sitecore, following Arc's commercial availability directly through Sitecore and Dataweavers' recent expansion into the EMEA market. Organizations evaluating SitecoreAI deployment in a regulated market can engage Sitecore or Dataweavers directly.
