Sixpoint Partners Appoints Joan Tan as Managing Director and Head of Asian Distribution as it Expands Asia Presence
Opens new office in Hong Kong to target Regional GP and LP market
NEW YORK, Oct. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixpoint Partners, a leading global investment bank serving the middle-market private equity industry, today announced the appointment of Joan Tan as Managing Director and Head of Asian Distribution, expanding the firm's team to 20 professionals across four offices in North America and Asia. In her new role, Ms. Tan will be based in Sixpoint's new Hong Kong office and responsible for the placement of fund interests with Asian institutional investors and originating outstanding private equity funds for Sixpoint's platform.
With 15 years of experience, Ms. Tan has built an impressive track record in the global banking and financial markets working on over a dozen fundraises across a wide range of alternative asset fund strategies. Most recently, she was Managing Director and Head of China at Diamond Dragon Advisors, an independent Asia-focused placement firm. As one of the founding members, Ms. Tan opened the China GP and LP market, established the firm's brand and implemented key strategic initiatives.
