John Mavros who is elected as the 47th president to SKAL USA, has been a member of SKAL since 1984. Mr. Mavros was President and CFO of Preferred Hotel Management Corp, an Irvine CA based management Company. Prior to PHMC he was Executive VP of California Hotels Corp. His global hotel management experience includes nearly 15 years with Westin Hotels at the Westin Century Plaza, Westin South Coast Plaza, Westin Philippine Plaza and the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens Greece. John was opening General Manager of Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, AZ and VP/GM of Registry Hotels in Irvine and Universal City CA. He currently works as a consultant and hotel expert.

The new officers, called to serve Skal International USA for one year, each fulfill a unique and important role.
