Skal International USA Announces Officers

WASHINGTON, June 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Skal International USA, the only international organization bringing together sectors of the travel and tourism industry while networking, conducting business and helping communities locally, nationally and internationally, installed its slate of officers for 2016.

John Mavros who is elected as the 47^th president to SKAL USA, has been a member of SKAL since 1984. Mr. Mavros was President and CFO of Preferred Hotel Management Corp, an Irvine CA based management Company. Prior to PHMC he was Executive VP of California Hotels Corp. His global hotel management experience includes nearly 15 years with Westin Hotels at the Westin Century Plaza, Westin South Coast Plaza, Westin Philippine Plaza and the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens Greece. John was opening General Manager of Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, AZ and VP/GM of Registry Hotels in Irvine and Universal City CA. He currently works as a consultant and hotel expert.

The Skal International USA Board has 8 board members along with the President who represent 50 clubs with over 2000 members within USA. The list of the SKAL USA 2016 Officers are as follows:

The new officers, called to serve Skal International USA for one year, each fulfill a unique and important role.  "Our goal is to make SKAL USA more vocal, visible and relevant in the promotion of travel and tourism.
