Skillshare Hires Christophe Gillet as Chief Product Officer

NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SKILLSHARE, the online learning community with thousands of classes in design, business and technology disciplines, announced today that it has appointed Christophe Gillet as Chief Product Officer. Gillet will lead Skillshare's product, design and engineering efforts as the company continues expanding its learning ecosystem aimed predominantly at freelancers, entrepreneurs and creative professionals.

"Coming out of our last round of financing we knew we wanted to invest heavily in our product experience," said Matt Cooper, CEO of Skillshare, referencing the $28 million dollar Round C of funding the company announced in July of this year. Gillet brings nearly two decades of product management experience to Skillshare. Prior to joining Skillshare, Gillet was GM & Head of Product at Vimeo, where he led both the product vision for the overall brand experience and development for Vimeo's creator platform tools. Gillet has also previously held product roles at eBay, Fan.TV, AOL and iPreo.
