100 Years of Mealtime Memories Essay Contest which ran from March 1 through May 14, 2012. After carefully sorting through more than 2,000 entries, New World Pasta is pleased to announce Ruby L. from Omaha, NE as the Grand Prize Winner and recipient of $10,000 for her essay of a favorite mealtime memory involving Skinner Pasta.

Skinner Pasta has proudly played a role in creating ten decades of family mealtime moments and is excited to celebrate and share Ruby's special story. Ruby's emphasis on the importance of creating special memories around the dinner table, her longstanding commitment to the Skinner brand, and enthusiastic anticipation of the many family memories to come, make her the Grand Prize Winner of this year's contest. Her  winning memory,  described as a sharing of tradition with Skinner Pasta that started with her mother's delicious recipes and has since been passed down to her family, not only offered insight into the role Skinner Pasta plays during family mealtime but also clearly showcased the longevity Skinner Pasta has maintained through the years.

In March, Skinner Pasta asked families from across the nation to share an original story in 250 words or less of a favorite mealtime memory involving Skinner Pasta for the chance to win the $10,000 grand prize. Essays were judged by a qualified panel of judges and assigned scores based on the following criteria: connection to the Skinner brand, creative expression, relevance to theme and clarity. The essay with the highest score was awarded the Grand Prize.
