Skip Now Live in 60 Grocery Stores and Rolling out to 23 More by Feb. 6th

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- After announcing last October that Skip will beat Amazon Go with providing Frictionless Checkout to 3,000 locations in 2019; we are happy to announce that we are currently live in 60 grocery stores with another 23 going online by Feb. 6th. Furthermore, Skip is conducting a soft launch in Cruizers C-Stores this week. Skip is also scheduled to be in a total of 275 locations between both grocery and convenience by the end of Q1 (9% of 3,000 goal).

Skip's growth, in grocery specifically, is due to the successful partnership in our Associated Food Store (AFS) locations, prompting the wholesaler to roll out our services in all of their stores; including Fresh Market, Dick's, Lin's and Dan's. Beyond standard quantitative success metrics, the expansion was driven by the amount of positive qualitative feedback the stores receive from customers, including comments highlighting the ease of use, benefits of skipping the line, and even a nod to having larger basket sizes because of the frictionless experience Skip provides for the shopper.

As Frictionless Checkout is expanding organically in grocery, Skip continues to also make strides in the C-Store industry. There are 3 retailers rolling out in January including Cruizers, Domino and Enmarket; with a combined total of 157 locations.
