NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- To kick off its official Grand Opening, Sky View Center, Flushing, Queens' 800,000-square-foot shopping center, will host SKY VIEW CELEBRATES! With something for all ages, the jam-packed series of events will run throughout the fall and winter. To celebrate the opening of some of the Center's newest retailers, including Target, Marshall's, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond and many more, beginning October 16th, shoppers are invited to enjoy a variety of free events each Saturday starting at 12pm in the Sky View Center lower lobby with complimentary parking with purchase.

Sky View Center will feature exciting children's entertainers, as well as a slew of arts and crafts activities. The SKY VIEW CELEBRATES! event series will run through December 18, 2010.

October 30th – 12 pm:	Arts and crafts presented by Museum of Chinese in America
	Join the teaching artists of the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) for arts and crafts.

October 31st – 12 pm:	Halloween Trick-or-Treating at Sky View Center

November 6th – 12 pm:	Animals Alive! presented by Alley Pond Environmental Center
	Live animal presentation featuring mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds.

November 13th – 12 pm:	Year of the Tiger Workshop presented by Flushing Town Hall
	Learn how to create a figure out of craft materials.

November 20th – 12 pm:	The Jimmies
	New York City-based power-pop band will appear live in concert.

November 27th – 12 pm:	Big Apple Circus – Dikki's Wacky Magic Show
	Through audience participation, Dikki makes the impossible become believable. Lots of magic, music and mayhem!

December 4th – 12 pm:	Deedle Deedle Dees
	Live concert by the Brooklyn-based educational rock band.

December 11th – 12 pm:	Big Apples Circus – Pirate School with Billy Bones, The Good Pirate
	Join Mr. Bones for a "Pirate Training Academy" which combines a stage show and "on-their-feet" fun.

December 18th – 12 pm:	Applause New York – Home of Rock n Roll Babies, Broadway Babies and Superstars
