Skyline Urology Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard David Named Professor Of Urology At UCLA

LOS ANGELES, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Skyline Urology Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard David has been named Clinical Professor of Urology, Voluntary at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

A nationally known expert in urologic cancers, Dr. David has served on the UCLA clinical faculty for 24 years. He sees patients at his Skyline Urology office in Sherman Oaks.

I have tried to instill this ideal and to serve as a positive influence to the scores of medical students and Urologists in training with whom I have had the privilege to work with at UCLA," said Dr. David.

In his clinical practice, he is sought out for his expertise in Laser enucleation of the prostate – a minimally invasive option for patients with large prostates – and for his skill in robot-assisted surgery, providing surgical options that offer his urology patients fewer side effects and a shorter recovery time. In addition to robotic surgery, Dr. David performs laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery and other endoscopic surgery. His specialties include prostate cancer and other urologic cancers, as well as men's sexual health, bladder dysfunction, pelvic floor issues and testosterone replacement therapy. Dr. David is fluent in English and Spanish.

As Chief Medical Officer at Skyline Urology, Dr. David is dedicated to excellence in Skyline Urology's clinical practices. He is also active in clinical research and is principal investigator of several clinical trials, working to make new therapies available to patients.

Dr. David received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He completed his urology residency at UCLA Medical Center and has been honored to be selected by the Consumers' Research Council of America as one of America's top urologists for seven consecutive years.
