Skyo and the Thirst Project Give the Gift of Clean Drinking Water

OAK BROOK, Ill., Dec. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Almost one billion people in the world do not have access to a clean water source. Skyo is calling on college students across the country to take action this holiday season – with a simple click. Through Skyo's partnership with the Thirst Project, students can help give the gift of clean drinking water to those who need it most.

For each new person who likes the Skyo Facebook page (facebook.com/skyo) or follows Skyo on Twitter (twitter.com/goskyo) through Dec. 31, 2012, Skyo will donate $1 to Thirst. Skyo has set a goal of donating $5,000 to Thirst's holiday giving campaign, which will help bring clean water to 5,000 people in the African village of Edlozini.

Skyo's support of Thirst is based on a shared commitment to ensuring young people have a better educational experience and access to essential knowledge and resources. Skyo is committed to providing affordable access to the cheap textbooks students need. Likewise, Thirst is a nonprofit organization that works to help people gain access to clean drinking water.
