SkyTeam Launches Round the World Fare Promotion

AMSTERDAM, Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, is offering a Round the World fare promotion to celebrate the launch of its Round the World Planner. Depending on the customer's starting point, discounts range from 10-30% off the normal ticket price. The promotion is valid for business and economy class tickets, for sale now through 30 November 2011 and for travel through 30 June 2012.

SkyTeam's new Round the World Planner makes taking advantage of this fare promotion even easier. The user-friendly, online application enables customers to build their ideal itinerary, with hundreds of cities to choose from worldwide. This includes many new destinations in the Greater China region added by latest members, China Eastern and China Airlines. Since its launch mid-September, the Round the World Planner has been used by thousands of customers. The tool can be found on www.skyteam.com.

*Promotional fare conditions

• Booking must be made between 1 October and 30 November 2011 using the flights of any of the fifteen SkyTeam member airlines
• Travel can begin 14 days after booking
• Travel must start on/after 15 October 2011 and must be completed by 30 June 2012.
• The maximum stay is six months, the minimum stay is ten days
• A maximum of five stopovers is permitted
• Total travel miles may not exceed 24,000 miles
• This special fare cannot be booked online
• Customers need to contact their local SkyTeam member airline reservation center or a travel agent for further details and bookings
