SKYY® Vodka Named Official Spirit Of The Governors Ball Music Festival In New York City

SAN FRANCISCO, June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SKYY® Vodka, the number-one premium vodka made in America,  announces its official sponsorship of The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, June 7^th – 9^th, 2013.  In addition to being the official spirit of the festival, which features such music luminaries as Kanye West, Guns N' Roses, Of Monsters and Men, Kendrick Lamar and the Kings of Leon, SKYY Vodka will present its own stage showcasing top talent in progressive and electronic dance music, as well as a private SKYY Vodka VIP lounge.

To kick off this exclusive partnership, SKYY Vodka will host the official kick-off party for Governors Ball on Thursday, June 6^th in New York City. Guests at the invite-only event will enjoy an evening of music and sunset cocktailing aboard a huge luxury yacht, transformed into a nautical, musical paradise.  James Murphy (DFA/ LCD Soundsystem), Baio, Tennessee Thomas and Ladies Night will perform exclusive DJ sets, while guests sip specialty SKYY cocktails.

2oz SKYY Vodka
1oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1/2oz Creme de Violette
1/2oz Elderflower Liquor
1/2oz Simple Syrup
2oz Soda Water
Shake all ingredients (except soda water), strain over ice and top with soda.  Garnish with mint, lemon wheel and stainless steel drinking straw.
