MORRISVILLE, Pa., Aug. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SBi is inviting patients and surgeons alike to explore its new Charcot Solution website. The website has been designed to provide patients and surgeons access to detailed information pertaining to non-surgical and surgical treatment options for Charcot foot.  The website also includes a surgeon locator, which allows patients to search for surgeons specializing in the treatment of Charcot Foot near a specific geographic location.

The website includes an extensive database of information to help patients understand Charcot foot symptoms and indicators, in addition to understanding the common association of Charcot foot with long term diabetes.  Given that more than 25 million people in the US suffer from diabetes, SBi believes this website addresses a significant at-risk patient population.  More than 1 million patients with diabetes lose a limb every year in the US due to resultant impaired circulation, loss of nerve function, and infections – many of those patients suffer from Charcot Foot.
