Small Business WorkCheetah.com Aims to Solve Big Problem of Unemployment

PHILADELPHIA, June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- There is no doubt that millions of unemployed Americans have their work cut out for them in 2013. With a majority of companies not even accepting applications from unemployed applicants it would seem the jobless are fighting an uphill battle. In addition, new government cut backs and taxes make it harder on employers to find the capital to increase workforces. In an attempt to help, growing online startup WorkCheetah.com conducted a survey to find the root of the issue.

Over the weekend the startup used a conjunction of Facebook and its own site to find out where the unemployed might be wrong. Receiving feedback from 1500 participants WorkCheetah found surprising information.

"We found that a lot of the problems people are facing come down to the lack of applications they are filling out. The average participant filled out a reported average of 3.4 applications a day -- that's just not enough. But when we asked why this number was so low we found the culprit to be the long and lengthy applications they had to fill out."

This news made the innovative developers of WorkCheetah come up with a unique solution to the problem.

"We call it 'Quick Apply' -- Nothing fancy, but with the new tool users of our site can apply to jobs in seconds and really don't have a reason not be filling out as many applications as necessary to get hired," said Washington.

After testing the software the WorkCheetah team is now projecting an increased average from the 3.4 applications a day to a whopping 40 fully completed and relevant applications within only a few minutes.

"All job seekers have to do is fill out their employment history and education background and they will be ready to apply to jobs much faster. I am excited because I think this feature fits hand in hand with the WorkCheetah branding as the internet's fastest job network – and it's WorkCheetah not Work Cheetah, by the way," said Washington.

WorkCheetah admits that while 'Quick Apply' may not the ultimate answer to the jobless issue in America, it will definitely help. They confirm to continue to work on the growing problem even if no one takes notice.
