The new system, a single-inverter model of S&C's field-proven PureWave DSTATCOM, is specifically designed as a cost-effective VAR compensation solution for small wind generation plants.
Although many wind energy generation systems require VAR compensation solutions to meet grid code requirements, these solutions were previously only economical for much larger renewable energy systems. S&C's new PureWave DSTATCOM model gives smaller wind generation plants precise VAR compensation functionality that allows them to achieve their renewable energy goals.
