With this powerful addition to SmartDrive's video-based safety program, fleets can easily tune the program to their individual risk priorities and safety policies. Fleets now have the flexibility to begin with SmartDrive's proven best practice program designed for their industry segment, specific operating environment and vehicle type and then with the help of SmartDrive safety experts, customize to their unique business requirements. Providing fleets with the flexibility to leverage their existing safety policies in conjunction with SmartDrive's best practices accelerates program adoption and results. This expansion builds on SmartDrive's open platform, enabling today's growing fleets to capture the broadest spectrum of risk that matters most to their business without compromising effectiveness. 

SmartDrive's program captures before-and-after video when a safety incident occurs, after which SmartDrive experts review footage, note unsafe driving and prioritize for coaching based on the calculated risk score. With Custom Coaching and Scoring, the score for specific risk areas can be weighted higher or lower based on a customer's safety policies and procedures. In addition, the coaching priority can be set based on a variety of their own policy criteria—such as zero tolerance, watch-list, or their own custom priority. This provides the flexibility to centrally manage the program, applying company-specific business rules in a consistent and standardized process throughout the organization while helping managers understand what areas need retraining relative to their policy.
