Smartphones Connect Shoppers to Personalized Rewards

NEW YORK, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Likestyle announces their mobile platform that helps consumers identify their interests and buyer preferences to access personal rewards at stores, restaurants and hotels. Shoppers are able to receive monetary discounts on products that match their interests, download songs, videos, receive game experience or even access exclusive services that fit their unique preferences.  

Utilizing a QR code label, or tag, Likestyle checks the user's location including department or aisle to connect the consumer to that physical spot in a new way.

"We wanted to create something that connects consumers with their favorite spots but in a way that cuts through all noise. We need to move away from guessing what a consumer wants and begin to offer a personalized experience each time they go out. This is an app we can use all the time," says co-founder Brad Thorne.

Thorne says that personalized rewards are just the beginning. "I'm excited to see how creative the merchants can be now that they can offer so much more than monetary discounts. My favorite coffee shop can put extra whip cream on my latte as a reward using Likestyle. It may not cost them much but it means a lot to me as a regular customer."

In a time where the mobile rewards space is filled with apps using badges, fake currency and points, Likestyle focuses on real rewards triggered by visiting real spots.

Co-founder Jerry Broughton says Likestyle rewards are like fortune cookies. "Getting a fortune cookie at the end of the meal is rewarding. It's fun to crack it open and see what's inside. Our rewards model starts with this idea of receiving something real each time but focuses on the personal aspect. The rewards can increase and become more personal as they return to those spots."

Likestyle gets smarter by asking a single question when a reward is redeemed, "What do you like about this spot?" The user touches a picture to indicate one of four choices.

Thorne considers the future bright for consumers. "Finally, it's about us and what we like and not what others think we like."
